What is SignHealth?
SignHealth is a website that doctors,
nurses and other health workers can access. They can select questions
from lists on the screen. The question is then shown on the screen in
BSL. The Deaf patient can then respond, and the doctor can ask the next
question. This is no replacement for an interpreter. But the site can
be very useful when an appointment is made quickly and there is no
time to book an interpreter.
To have a look at SignHealth go to www.signhealth.com. You then need the following login details:

This gives a restricted version of the site, which shows how it works.
