Deaf Friendly

Welcome to the Deaf Friendly website. All local health services in England have been given money to improve services for deaf people. Local health services are managed by Primary Care Trusts (PCTs). To find out how much your PCT has been given, look at the table below. If your PCT has not been spending the money on SignHealth or Communications Tactics training, then ask them why. It is your money!

PCTs currently have access to SignHealth for a limted time, so they can see whether they like it.

PCTs with a smiley face have logged into SignHealth to have a look at it.

PCTs with have purchased a licence for the use of SignHealth, or had extensive Communication tactics training.

PCTs with a sad face have not even logged into SignHealth, despite being given details of how to use it.
